Obituary
Rockport – Laylis Lynn Leonard passed away suddenly on April 24, 2023. He was 63.
Laylis was born in Abilene, Texas on September 10, 1959 to Shirley (Ashabranner) and James M. Leonard. He was a resident of Rockport. Laylis will be remembered for his music, being a master carpenter and an incredible local artist. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Robbin Leonard; father: James Leonard; brother: Carl.
Laylis is survived by his sons: Jake Leonard and Jesse Leonard; mother: Shirley Leonard-Cuff; sisters: Callie Venable (Mike), Lula Langford and Jimmie Carol Krnavek (Richard); numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will celebrate his life in a private ceremony.
