Aransas Pass – Leonard B. Pena passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on December 17, 1977, and leaves behind a legacy of unwavering love, devotion, and countless cherished memories.

Leonard was, above all else, a family man. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, an adoring grandfather, a cherished brother, and a beloved son-in-law. His greatest joy in life came from the people he loved most, and there was nothing more important to him than spending time with his family. Whether it was gathering everyone together for a backyard barbecue, sharing stories and laughter, or simply enjoying each other's company, those moments were the ones he treasured most.

A hardworking man with a generous heart, Leonard took immense pride in providing for his family. Everything he did was motivated by his love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He led by example through his dedication, loyalty, and selfless nature, always putting the needs of those he loved before his own.

Leonard was a passionate, lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and rarely missed the opportunity to cheer on his favorite team. He also enjoyed watching sports as a way to relax and unwind after a long day's work. Yet even those moments were made better when they were shared with family. His infectious smile, sense of humor, and kind heart made everyone around him feel welcome, and his presence had a way of bringing people together.

Although his passing leaves an immeasurable void, the love he gave so freely and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy is one of unconditional love, hard work, and unwavering devotion to his family—a legacy that will continue to live on through each of them.

Leonard is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Erminia Pena; his father-in-law, Ernest Lazcano and his stepbrother, Luis Chavez.

Leonard is lovingly survived by his wife, Sandra Pena of Aransas Pass, Texas; his sons, Dominick Lee of San Antonio, Texas, Leonard Pena, Jr., Daniel Pena, and Diego Pena, all of Aransas Pass, Texas; his daughters, Natalina Sandoval (Joseph) of Ingleside, Texas, and Celeste Pena of Aransas Pass, Texas; his cherished grandchildren, Vanessa Sandoval, Natalia Sandoval, Jeremyah, Xayven and Roman Pena; his stepfather, Fernando Chavez, Sr.; his brothers, Michael Pena, Michael Chavez, Leonard Chavez, Fernando Chavez, Jr. and Andy Huerta; his sisters, Melissa Garcia, Melinda Pena, Melodie Pena, and Erminia "Mina" John, Melissa Chavez, Geneva Zambrano ; and beloved mother-in-law, Maria Yzaguirre of Sinton, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, with the family receiving guest beginning at 10:00 a.m. A funeral service honoring and celebrating the life of Leonard will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by interment at San Ignacio Cemetery in Ingleside.
