Aransas Pass – Lionel R. “Lonnie” Rodriguez, Sr. passed away October 28, 2019 with his loving family at his side. He was 78.

Lonnie was born on July 23, 1941 in Aransas Pass, Texas to Maria (Perez) and Florentino Rodriguez. He was a lifelong resident of Aransas Pass. Lonnie was a Carpenter. He owned and operated Lonnie’s Carpentry for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Florentino and Maria Rodriguez; and sister: Mary Alice Shetters.

Survivors include his wife: Molly Rodriguez of Aransas Pass, Texas; a son: Lonnie Rodriguez of Ingleside, Texas; daughters: Monica Salinas (Armando) of Ingleside, Texas and Veronica Nelson (Ted) of Portland, Texas; grandchildren: Gabriel Nelson (Mithzy) and Alexis Salinas; 3 step-grandchildren; brother: Lucas Rodriguez (Lisa) of Aransas Pass, Texas; sisters: Rosa Jones (Len) and Janie Hoye, all of Aransas Pass, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
