Lorina Annette Saldivar passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, at the age of 47.

Lorina was born on September 19, 1978, in Taft, Texas, to Linda (Elizondo) and Guadalupe Saldivar, Jr. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister who cherished every moment spent with her family—especially with her beloved grandson. Lorina loved cooking, reading, and spending time with those she loved most. She had a playful spirit, a silly sense of humor, and remained a kid at heart throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Saldivar.

Lorina is survived by her daughters, Leanna Gamez (Eric) from Portland, Texas, Laila Adame and Lindsay Adame, both from Taft, Texas; her grandchild, Marcel Gamez; her father, Guadalupe Saldivar, Jr. from Taft, Texas; her brothers, Jerry Morales (Liz) from San Antonio, Texas and Erasmo Saldivar from Taft, Texas; and her sister, Lorrell Powell from Houston, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM that evening at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Taft with Fr. Peter as celebrant. Interment will follow in Palms Memorial Cemetery in Portland, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Eric Gamez, Lawrence Fuentes, Jerry Morales, Joziah Saldivar, Jaron Saldivar and Anthony Saldivar.
