Louis Ervin Belcher

Rockport – Louis Ervin Belcher passed away on February 22, 2023. He was 86. Louis was born in Edna, Texas on April 3, 1936 to Easter Vada (Butcher) and Joseph Wesley Belcher. He was a resident of Rockport for many years. Louis was a retired charter boat captain. While in retirement, he enjoyed spending his days fishing.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death by his parents: Easter and Joseph Belcher; brother: Buddy Belcher; sister: Lois Belcher.

Survivors include his loving wife: Annie Ruth Belcher from Rockport, Texas; 1 son: Robert Belcher from Port Aransas, Texas; 3 daughters: Connie Tarleton and Sabrina Belcher both from North Carolina and Tammy Wilson (Dana) from Rockport, Texas; 4 brothers: Donald Belcher (Gaye) from Castroville, Texas, Ceburn Belcher from Onalaska, Texas, Larry Belcher (Linda) from Rockport, Texas and Glenn Belcher (Susan) from Corpus Christi, Texas; 9 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023, 1:00 PM at the Port Aransas Community Center.
