Lucia D. Foster

Ingleside– Lucia D. Foster passed away on March 25, 2021. She was 81.

Lucia was born on January 25, 1940 in Taft, Texas to Thomas and Eloisa (Benitez) Robles. She was a resident of Ingleside for 52 years. Lucia was retired from North Bay Hospital in Aransas Pass where she worked in housekeeping. Although Lucia could handle any task assigned, the hospital often needed a translator. Lucia was readily available and just as eager to assist. She loved her family and her grandchildren. She had a special bond with her own Mother, a bond that taught Lucia to be compassionate, nurturing, independent and strong for the 7 children she was mother and father to. Lucia expressed much joy for music, often reminiscing about her passion for dancing. Her love for life was evident through her smiles and sassy responses, making everyone around her laugh. Anyone who knew Lucia could say she was truly a blessing. Lucia helped raise her grandchildren, Sara Bowers, Thomas Bowers and Harold Foster, III. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding in death are her sons: Donald Coloum and Jimmy Bowers;

parents: Thomas and Eloisa Robles; sisters: Josephine Robles and Oralia Moreno; brothers: Cecilio Robles and Thomas Robles.

Survivors include her sons: Tommy Bowers (Dawn) of Virginia, Joe Rodriguez (Cathy) of Aransas Pass, Harold Lee Foster Jr (Karen) of Ingleside; her daughters: Mary Ann Sellers (Ramon) of Ingleside, Dolores Salinas (Oscar) of Ingleside; brothers: Joe Robles of Rockport and Robert Robles of Virginia.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, March 31, 2021, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 1, 2021, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Ingleside with Father Patrick as celebrant.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Bowers, Harold Foster, III, Joshua Sellers, Bobby Salinas, Bobby Gonzales, Thomas Bowers, Oscar Salinas and Ramon Barron.
