Manuel Guzman, III Obituary

Manuel Guzman, III passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was 54.

Manuel was born on June 5, 1972 in Robstown, Texas to Estefana (Livar) and Manuel Guzman Jr. He made Odem his home since 1989 after living in Taft. He built a life centered on faith, family, hard work and friendship.

Manuel was a devoted husband, proud father, loving son, brother and friend. He worked in construction for many years and took great pride in providing for his family. His greatest joy, however, was being a dad. He treasured every moment spent teaching his son life's important lessons and creating lasting memories with loved ones.

A passionate sports fan, Manuel faithfully cheered for the Houston Texans and Houston Astros. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, barbecuing, listening to music and relaxing outdoors with family and friends who would often stop by to visit. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simply enjoying each other's company, Manuel had a way of making everyone feel welcomed. He especially cherished the time he spent with his brothers, creating bonds and memories that will be treasured forever.

Manuel is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Guzman Jr.; his grandfather, Manuel Guzman Sr.; and his father-in-law, R.F. Garrett.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Christina Guzman from Odem, Texas; his son, Matthew Guzman from Odem, Texas; his daughter, Emma Guzman from Odem, Texas; his mother, Estefana Livar from Robstown, Texas; his brothers, Roland Guzman (Lisa Perez) from Taft, Texas and Marcos Guzman from Corpus Christi, Texas; his sisters, Monica Vela (John) from Corpus Christi, Texas; Veronica Ramon (Adolfo) from Robstown, Texas; Venessa Guzman (Rick Rodriguez) from San Antonio, Texas; and Ada Thomas (David) from Corpus Christi, Texas; his mother-in-law, Anita Ryan and sister-in-law, Sheila Jenkins, both from Corpus Christi, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Sacred Heart Church in Odem. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery in Odem.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation for the love, prayers and support shown during this difficult time.
