Maria Cynthia Gatica

Sinton– Maria Cynthia Gatica passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 26, 2021. She was 63.

Maria was born January 26, 1958 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Maria Castillo and Raul Duque, Jr. She was a lifelong resident of Sinton, Texas.  She will be greatly missed for her golden heart. Maria loved everyone she came across. She was a great person who loved walking on the beach and finding sand dollars. Maria was a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father: Raul Duque, Jr.

Survivors include her beloved boyfriend: Robert Lopez; son: George Gatica, Jr. (Yvonne) of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters: Monica Gatica (Doris) of Austin, Texas and Mia Marie Perez (Gil) of Sinton, Texas; grandchildren: Maddison, Ysabella, Cash, Malcolm, Desiree and Audrianna; mother: Maria C. Miller of Portland, Texas; brothers: LaVon Granthem, Jr. (Helen) of Portland, Texas and Daniel Grantham (Kelly) of Houston, Texas; sister: Julie Colwell (Jim) of Houston, Texas; nieces and nephews: Alana, Daniel, Caleb, Connor, Nakia and Lilly.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, March 31, 2021, 2:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021, 11:00 AM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
