Maria Gonzales

Taft – Maria Gonzales passed away March 15, 2023. She was 85.

Maria was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 16, 1937. She was a lifelong resident of
Taft, Texas. Maria was a former CNA and Physical Therapist Aide. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her son: Nicholas Gonzales; parents: Jesus and Maria Flores; brother: Jesus Flores, Jr.

Maria is survived by her loving husband: Isabel Herrera from Taft, Texas; daughter: Mary Posato from League City, Texas; 3 grandchildren: Johanna Collins, Ronald Posato, Ryan Posato (Catherine); 7 great-grandchildren: Josh Posato, Owen Posato, Justin Posato, Jaden Posato, Colton Posato, Jessica Posato, and Caleb Collins; sisters: Cele Garcia and Nonnie Cortez from Houston, Texas, Rosa Villafranco, Julia Tijerina, Rosalinda Pena, Susie Acosta, Ana Guzman, Maria Posas, and Petra Luera; niece who cared for her: Herlinda Cuellar from Taft, Texas and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, March 21, 2023, 11:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin Tuesday, March 21, 2023, 1:00 PM, with the Funeral Service to follow after.
