Maria Lucelida (Perez) Zuckero Obituary
On Monday, October 13, 2025, shortly after noon, Maria Lucelida (Perez) Zuckero peacefully went home to be with the Lord. She was born on September 12, 1939, to Evaristo and Maria (Godin) Perez, she was 86.
Maria was the firstborn of seventeen children—ten girls and seven boys. From an early age, she learned the value of hard work and family. Maria lived a life grounded in faith, kindness, and love. She was known for her gentle heart, her acceptance of others, and her ability to make everyone feel like family. She loved like Jesus—never judging, always encouraging, and allowing everyone around her to be their authentic selves.
She had a deep love for music and dancing, and she enjoyed traveling whenever she could. When she wasn’t on the road, Maria could be found crocheting blankets for her loved ones, a hobby that filled her home and family with warmth. In her later years, she found joy in quiet moments—watching her favorite television shows, working on puzzles and crosswords, coloring on her phone, or sitting outside tending to her plants and enjoying the company of family and friends.
Maria was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her gentle spirit and loving heart will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She truly was the most loving and beautiful soul to exist.
She was preceded in death by: her parents: Evaristo and Maria (Godin) Perez; her husband: Robert; her ex-husband: Victor; her daughter: Rewi; her sisters: Phillis, Evangeline, Dora, Esther, Lydia; and her brothers: Frank and Angel.
