Aransas Pass – Maria Elena Castillo passed away October 6, 2023. She was 87.

Elena was born September 14, 1936 in Cuidad Miguel, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Felipa (Gonzalez) and Tiburcio Ramirez. She was currently resident of Aransas Pass. Elena was a dedicated homemaker, attentive to her children and family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Roberto Castillo, Sr; sons: Jose Ariz Castillo and Rodolfo Castillo; daughters: Maria Del Carmen Castillo and Maria Rebecca Rivas; parents: Tiburcio and Felipa Ramirez; her siblings.

Survivors include her sons: Jose Alfredo Castillo (Lalli), Roberto Castillo III, Juan Jose Castillo (Sylvia) and Arturo Castillo (Santi) all from Aransas Pass, Texas; daughters: Felipa Estela Guerra (Sixto) from Mission, Texas; Maria Elena Roel, Maria Inez Palacios (Humberto) and Hope Davila (Mario) all from Aransas Pass, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation and Funeral Mass were held at Rodriguez Funeral Home in Roma,

Texas.

Burial followed in Salineno Cemetery in Roma, Texas.
