Maria Guadalupe "Lupita" Salinas

Sinton– Maria Guadalupe “Lupita” Salinas passed away on January 18, 2021. She was 79.

Lupita was born on February 25, 1941 in Banquete, Texas to Lino and Aurora (Hernandez) DeLeon, Sr. She was a resident of Sinton, Texas for most of her life. Lupita was a retired CNA. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Guadalupe Salinas, Sr.; parents: Lino and Aurora DeLeon, Sr.; sisters: Yolanda Segovia and Alice Castillo.

Survivors include her daughters: Frances Olivarez (Patrick) and Erika Salinas all of Sinton, Texas; 4 grandchildren: Patrick Alexander Olivarez (Danielle), Ryan Martin Olivarez (Brittany), Ethan Xavier Lyman and Nikolas Guadalupe Lyman; 3 great-grandchildren: Audrina Morris, Emberlee Olivarez and Oliver Olivarez; brother: Lino DeLeon, Jr. (Diana) of San Antonio, Texas; sisters: Mary Lerma of Corpus Christi, Texas; Minnie Amador (Ruben), Irene Herrera (Gilbert) and Janie Gonzales (Raymond) all of Houston, Texas; brother-in-laws: Johnny Segovia and Jesse Castillo both of Sinton, Texas.

Visitation will begin Friday, January 22, 2021, 5:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 23, 2021, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
