Marijean "Gigi" Jurach Obituary

Marijean “Gigi” Jurach was born on June 14, 1933 in Cole Camp, Missouri to Elizabeth (Franken) and Murl Parks. Outspoken and full of humor, Gigi brought laughter and warmth wherever she went. A devoted Catholic, she lived her life with strong faith, compassion and a deep love for her family.

Gigi especially adored her great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Her love for them was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent in their presence.

Gigi was active in her community, enjoying bunko nights with friends and creating beautiful pieces as part of her local quilting club. Gigi served as a dedicated employee of the Nueces County Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office for an incredible 41 years, working diligently until her final days.

Gigi’s strength, wit, and boundless love for her family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Preceding in death are her husband: Jerry Jurach Jr.; son: Gary Simpson; parents: Elizabeth and Murl Parks.

Survivors include her daughter: Suzan Cox (John); granddaughter: Amanda Freeman (Chris); great-grandchildren: Makenzie, June, Michael and Maelyn Jean Freeman; bonus children: Patricia Hunt (Joe), Jerry Jurach III (Diana), Paula Carter, Richard Jurach (Brenda); 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
