Ingleside – Mary Lydia Cantu passed away on May 15, 2025. She was 74.

Mary was born on May 8, 1951to Lydia (Livas) and Ysabel Velasquez in Robstown, Texas. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Mary is preceded in death by her son: Louis Aguilar, Jr. and parents: Ysabel and Lydia Velasquez.

Survivors include her loving husband: Apolonio R. Cantu from Ingleside, Texas; sons: Rene Aguilar and Chris Aguilar both from Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters: Rose Marie Rivera from Portland, Texas and Emily M. Martinez from Corpus Christi, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchildren; and sister: Jannie Mayorga from Austin, Texas.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 23, 2025, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption, Ingleside.
