Sinton – Mary E. Vargas passed away on September 5, 2024. She was 72.
Mary was born May 8, 1952 in Sinton, Texas to Esther (Camarillo) and Nasario Z. Orta. She was a lifelong resident of Sinton, Texas. Mary was formerly employed as a Cardiac ICU RN for Spohn Shoreline. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding in death by her parents: Nasario and Esther Orta; sister: Maria M. Ybarra.
Survivors include her loving husband: Paulino O. Vargas from Sinton, Texas; son: Marco A. Vargas from Sinton, Texas; daughters: Chriselda M. Vargas from Sinton, Texas and Marissa R. Guzman from Hurst, Texas; 10 grandchildren; brothers: Juan J. Orta (Leonor) from Odem, Texas and Juan M. Orta (Sandra) from San Antonio; sisters: Demecia M. Monreal, Elvira M. Campos and Rosa O. Martinez all from Sinton, Texas.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, September 18, 2024, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Thursday, September 19, 2024, 2:00 PM, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton. Burial will be private.
