Sinton – Maria Luisa “Mary Lou” Moreno passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, at the age of 80.

Born on June 17, 1946, in Sinton, Texas, to Juanita (Garza) and Luis Olvera, Mary Lou lived a life defined by love, kindness, and selflessness. She was the kind of person whose smile could brighten someone's day and whose warm heart made everyone feel like family. Mary Lou never met a stranger. She had a beautiful gift for striking up a conversation with anyone, making people feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. Her kindness was effortless, and her gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Mary Lou believed in the value of hard work and carried herself with quiet strength throughout her life. No matter the challenges she faced, she did so with grace, determination, and an unwavering smile. She found joy in the simple moments—sharing stories, laughing with loved ones, and spending time surrounded by her family. Those moments meant the world to her.

Above all, Mary Lou's greatest pride and deepest joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Her family was the center of her world, and there was nothing she loved more than watching them grow, celebrating their accomplishments, and simply being together. She loved with her whole heart and gave without expecting anything in return. Her love was steady, unconditional, and will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Mary Lou's passing leaves an emptiness that can never truly be filled, but her family finds comfort in the countless memories they shared with her and in knowing that her love will forever remain a part of who they are. Her compassion, strength, gentle nature, and beautiful smile will never be forgotten.

Mary Lou was welcomed into eternal rest by her beloved spouse, Delores "Lolo" Moreno; her parents, Luis Olvera and Juanita Garza; dad, Eusebio Fuentes; her grandson, Luke Conner Moreno and her sister, Dolores "Loly" Ramirez.

She leaves behind to honor and cherish her memory her sons, Juan Ricardo "Rick" Moreno of Sinton, Texas and Luis Antonio "Tony" Moreno (Ana) of Leander, Texas; her daughter, Deanna "Dee-Dee" Moreno Gonzales (Jose) of Sinton, Texas; her beloved grandchildren, Jasmine Gonzales, Jose Gonzales II (Melanie), Juan Gonzales (Isabella), and Stacie Moreno; her precious great-grandson, Jake Gonzales; her sister, Olga Parker of Kyle, Texas; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by her unwavering love and kindness.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to her son Juan R. Moreno, Mary Lou's devoted caregiver, whose unwavering kindness, compassion, and loving care brought comfort and dignity to her each day. His selfless dedication, gentle spirit, and genuine love for Mary Lou meant more than words can express, and he will always hold a special place in the hearts of her family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton. The Holy Rosary will be recited that evening at 1:30 PM at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Sinton.
