Michael Elian Guajardo Rojas

Aransas Pass – Michael Elian Guajardo Rojas passed away October 12, 2023. He was 18.

Michael was born on April 23, 2005 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Cristina (Rojas) and Steven Cruz. Michael graduated Aransas Pass High School in 2023. He was a member of his high school band where he played the French horn. Michael also enjoyed playing his guitar at home around family members. Michael was a devoted son and friend who never met a stranger.

Michael was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend who will missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his maternal grandfather: Ausencio Rojas; and maternal grandparents: Oralia Ramos and Carmelo Almaraz

Survivors include his parents: Steven and Cristina Rojas Cruz from Aransas Pass, Texas; brother: Steve Cruz, Jr. from Aransas Pass, Texas; sister: Victoria Cruz from Aransas Pass, Texas; uncle: Miguel Palacios (Rocio Luna) from Austin, Texas; aunts: Silvia Rojas, Magdalena Rojas, Teresa Palacios, Maria Elena Rojas, all from Mexico; cousins: Angel Estrada, Antonio Estrada both from Austin, Texas; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins and extended family members.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, October 17, 2023, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 18, 2023, 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Aransas Pass, Texas with Fr. Emilio Jimenez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Aransas Memorial Park Cemetery, Rockport. Where Los Potrios band will play.
