Aransas Pass – Miguel Quintanilla, Sr. passed away February 21, 2024. He was 80.

Miguel was born November 17, 1943 in Guatemala City, Guatemala to Elena (Quintanilla) and Jose Chicop.  Miguel was a current resident of Aransas Pass, but had previously resided in Amarillo, Texas. He was a God-fearing man and attended church at Iglesia Bautista of Gregory. Miguel was a hard-working man who loved to provide for his family. Family was the most important thing to Miguel aside from his love of God. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, father-in-law, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Miguel is preceded in death by his son: Jorge Quintanilla; parents: Elena Quintanilla and Jose Chicop.

Survivors include his wife: Maria Quintanilla from Aransas Pass; son: Miguel Quintanilla, Jr. (Marnie) from Portland, Texas; daughter: Fabiola Brown (Steve) from Portland, Texas; daughter-in-law: Theresa Quintanilla; grandchildren: Bekah (Chance), Rachel, Michael, Emily, Jacob and Maddie; great- grandchild: Dawson; sisters: Rosa and Antonieta from Guatemala, City
