Miguel "Mike" D. Garcia

Taft – Miguel “Mike” D. Garcia passed away September 5, 2021. He was 79.

Mike was the 13th child born to Salvadore and Paula (DeLeon) Garcia on July 26, 1942 in Robstown, Texas. He lived in Taft, Texas since 1963 but spent his early years in Robstown, Texas. Mike was a retired Pipefitter. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Mabel Jalomo Garcia; a daughter: Sandra Ann Garcia; his parents; and 13 siblings, whom he dearly loved and missed.

Mike leaves behind his pride and joy, and only daughter, Sandra Meza (Roland) from Taft, Texas; two beautiful grandchildren that he adored: Roland D. Meza (Christina), Kevin Meza (Amanda); and six great grandchildren that he loved dearly: Matthew Meza, Aizlynn Meza, Mia Meza, Kyleigh Meza, Brooklynn Meza, and Brayden Meza.

Due to health concerns, the family has chosen to do a memorial service at a later date. The family will notify family and friends in the future when a service is scheduled.
