Minerva “Minnie” Gutierrez passed away peacefully at her home on March 10, 2025.

She was 82.

Minnie was born August 19, 1942 in Bishop, Texas to Consuelo (Rios) and Lambert Rodriguez. She was a resident of Sinton 23 years and former resident of Lakeland, Florida.

Minnie was dedicated to her husband and family. She loved shopping, listening to Elvis and a good margarita accompanied with a good steak from Texas Roadhouse. Minnie was a faithful Catholic praying the rosary each evening. She enjoyed traveling to Rome, Italy where she and her husband celebrated the renewal of their wedding vows. Minnie will be long remembered, never forgotten and spoken of often. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Preceding in death by her eldest son Juan Miguel Gutierrez.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Homer Gutierrez. Her daughter Ann Garcia (Rolando). Her son Omar Gutierrez (Michelle); grandchildren: Jordan Benton (Gabriella); Victoria Gutierrez and Mailee Ann Garcia, all from Sinton, Texas. Angelina Gutierrez and Gabriella Gutierrez, both from Corpus Christi, Texas; great-grandchildren: Cheston Benton, Mya Peterson, Easton Micheal Peterson, Trinity Benton, Jaycie Benton, Ezikiel and Sebastian Hernandez; and many extended family members.

Visitation will begin Monday, March 17, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same evening, 6:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton with Father Yul Ibay as celebrant. A Graveside Service will follow the same afternoon, 1:00 PM at the New Hebbronville Cemetery in Hebbronville, Texas.
