Sinton – Mireyna Nicole Villegas passed away on June 23, 2024.  She was 25 years old.

Mireyna was born on September 4, 1998 in Corpus Christi, Texas.   She was employed as a server and Hostess for IHOP, she loved to play video games, and loved her Dallas Cowboys.  Mireyna was a graduate of Mary Carroll High School. She was a loving daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding her in death; sister: Franceska Rae Ann Villegas; maternal grandparents: Oralia Mata and Carlos Mata; grandma: Rose Ann Villegas; grandma: Lencha Martinez; aunts: Ludy Martinez and Mary Perez; uncle: Paul Martinez

Survivors include her parents: Mari and Carl Sherrod; brothers: Juan Ramirez, Jr., Jason York and Eric Villegas; sisters: Zoe Villegas and Rose Villegas; grandfather: Rey Hernandez.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, July 9, 2024, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 10, 2024, 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.

Pallbearers will be: Enrique “EJ” Mata, Destiny Mata, Carlos Mata, III., Juan Ramirez, Darian Salone, Carysia Mata, Delylah Oguin, Carlos Mata, Jr., Enrique “Henry” Mata and Alexis Gomez.
