Nancy Jane Raley Obituary

Rockport – Nancy Jane Raley passed away June 15, 2024. She was 77.

Nancy was born January 21, 1947 in Vallejo, California to Lois (Jarrett) and Ernest (Denny) Raley. Nancy graduated from California State University Sacramento. She was a gifted and well-loved teacher for many years in Sacramento County. After retiring to Rockport, Texas she pursued her love of fiber arts, and spent countless hours volunteering for the Rockport Center for the Arts, and the Rockport-Fulton Good Samaritans.

Nancy is preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend of more than 40 years: Paul Thomas “Tommy” Kantz; parents: Ernest and Lois Raley; siblings: Greg, Don, Beth, and Scott.

She is survived by her daughter: Karen Raley-Kantz from Corpus Christi, Texas; step-children: Thomas Kantz (Lacey) from Washington and Katherine Kantz (Keith Fessel) from Hamburg, New York; grandchildren: Jon Taylor- Kantz, Jeff Taylor-Kantz and Henri Fessel; great long-time friends: Margaret Raley, Marilyn Fylling, Stella Hoffman, and Barbara Vance McCray. 

All services will be private.
