Nicanor "Nick" Lopez, Jr.

Alvin – Nicanor “Nick” Lopez, Jr. passed away July 11, 2021. He was 57.

Nick was born on May 26, 1964 in Mathis, Texas to Nicanor, Sr. and Benita (Coronado). He was a resident of Alvin, Texas for the last 5 years formerly resided in Baytown, Texas and was raised in Odem, Texas. Nick worked as a construction supervisor for 12 years with Brand Safway. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Nicanor, Sr. and Benita Lopez; siblings: Ofelia Gomez, Juanita Gomez, Olivia Cruz, Ruben Lopez and Juan Lopez; nephew: Nicky Lopez.

Survivors include his loving wife: Charlene Martin-Lopez of Alvin, Texas; sons: Adam Lopez of Odem, Texas, David Herrera of Alvin, Texas, John Adams of Webster, Texas, Justin Martin of Seabrook, Texas, Joey Martin of Alvin, Texas, Nicanor Lopez, III and Marco Antonio; grandchildren: Connor Adams, Aliana Martin, Jacob Martin and Kaiden Martin; brothers: Rudy Lopez, Robert Lopez and Rene Lopez all of Odem, Texas; sisters: Maria Garcia of Ricardo, Texas and Linda Lopez of Odem, Texas; sister-in-law: Janie Lopez of Zapata, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, July 14, 2021, 5:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. The Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 15, 2021, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Odem. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.

Pallbearers will be Adam Lopez, David Herrera, Cody Steele, Ricky Cantu, Eric Hurtado, JT Cruz, Nathan Garza and David Garza.
