Norman Gonzales

Taft – Norman Gonzales passed away on June 3, 2022. He was 54. Norman was born on April 29, 1968 in Taft, Texas to Rosa (Castaneda) and Salome Gonzales, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Taft. Norman was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle, cousin and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Norman is survived by his wife: Cindy Gonzales; sons: Brandon Gonzales (Brittany Herrera) and Matthew Gonzales, all from Taft, Texas; a daughter: Miranda Benedict (Greg) from Portland, Texas; 2 grandchildren: Gregory Benedict and Ayzlee Gonzales; his mother: Rosa Gonzales from Taft, Texas; father: Salome Gonzales, Sr. (Rose) from Sinton, Texas; brother: Salome Gonzales, Jr. (Leslie) from San Antonio, Texas; sisters: Norma Alvarez (Ray) from Taft, Texas; Nora Gonzales (Richard Rodriguez) from Odem, Texas; Noreen Rodriguez (Ezekiel) from Sinton, Texas; Naomi Gonzales (Abel Galaviz) from Corpus Christi, Texas; step-sister: Veronica Barrera (David) from Sinton, Texas; in-laws: Jose and Manuela Moreno from Taft, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2022, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated with date and time posted when available. Burial will be in Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Portland.

Pallbearers will be Greg Benedict, Brandon Gonzales, Matthew Gonzales, Salome Gonzales, Jr., Ray Alvarez and Richard Rodriguez.
