Olivia C. “Bebe” Lira passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026 at her home surrounded by the love of her husband and son.

Affectionately known as “Bebe” to all who knew and loved her, Olivia was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and treasured friend. Her life was a beautiful reflection of faith, love, strength and unwavering devotion to her family.

Bebe's greatest blessings were God and family. Guided by a deep and abiding faith, she faced life's challenges with remarkable courage and grace. Throughout her battle with cancer, she remained strong, resilient and determined, never allowing her circumstances to define her spirit. She was a true warrior whose strength inspired everyone around her.

Above all else, Bebe was a fiercely devoted mother who loved and protected her beloved son, Gregory Joe, with all her heart. She found joy in life's simple pleasures—shopping, decorating her home, traveling, discovering new foods and spending time with the pets she adored. Her warm smile, generous heart and caring nature touched countless lives and created memories that will be cherished forever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Oralia Castillo, and her sister, Gracie Rivas.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Danny Lira from Sinton, Texas; her beloved son, Gregory Joe Lira from Sinton, Texas; her brothers, Eloy Martinez from Sinton, Texas and Steve Martinez from Houston, Texas; her sisters, Sabina Richter (Randy) from Sinton, Texas and Lupe G. (Bruce Martin) from Corpus Christi, Texas; her in-laws, Joe and Mary Lira from Sinton, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love and friendship.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton. Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects from 12:00 noon until 9:00 PM.  The Holy Rosary will be recited that evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

The Funeral Mass celebrating Bebe's life will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Sinton. Interment will follow in Papalote Cemetery in Papalote.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Espinosa, David Johns, Bryan Richter, Randall Richter, Tre Gonzales and Tristian Gonzales.

Though her earthly journey has ended, Bebe's love, faith, courage and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
