Patricia McIver Lawrence passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026. She was 79.
Patricia, known to family and friends as Patsy, was born on May 19, 1946 in Refugio, Texas. Patricia was the daughter of Alton and Audrey McIver. She spent much of her life in Aransas Pass where she lived from 1969 to 2005. Patricia later resided in Sinton and was currently living in George West.
She married the love of her life, Allen S. Lawrence, Jr. and remained by his side until his passing in 2022. They were married 58 glorious years. Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose life was centered around her family. She was known for her sweet and loving nature, balanced by a strong and protective spirit. Like a true “mother hen,” she guided and cared for her children with both firmness and deep affection, always wanting the very best for them.
Affectionately known as “Nana,” Patricia found her greatest joy in her grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, offering her time, wisdom and unwavering attention. Her presence in their lives—and in the lives of all who knew her—was a constant source of love, strength and guidance.
Patricia will be remembered as a steady and caring role model, someone who showed up, gave wholeheartedly and loved unconditionally. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured and the lives she touched.
Survivors include her children, Allen S. “Trey” Lawrence, III (Cindy) and Patrick McIver Lawrence; grandchildren, Ryan Lawrence (Tabitha), Lindsay Patek (John), Zachary Lawrence (Kristin) and Michael Lawrence (Victoria); great-grandchildren, Noah, Jacob, Eli, Jordan, Charolette, Augustus, Boyd, Lyla, Phoebe, Lacey and Daphne.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton, with family receiving guests beginning at 9:00 AM. The Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 AM with burial to take place at 11:00 AM in Sinton Cemetery.
