Retta Marie Stevenson

Rockport – Retta Marie Stevenson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of her family, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, at the age of 94.

Retta was born in Ingleside, Texas, on May 22, 1932, to Bessie (Wilson) and John W. Boultinghouse. Retta was an amazing woman whose strength, kindness, and love touched the lives of all who knew her. She devoted much of her life to her family, and her love for her children and grandchildren was at the heart of who she was. She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the memories she created with her family, and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her.

Retta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charlie M. Stevenson, Sr.; and her sons, Charlie M. Stevenson, Jr. and Ray L. Stevenson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Danny Stevenson, Jimmy Stevenson, and Tyrone Stevenson, all of Marble Falls, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and daughters-in-law, Shirley Stevenson of San Antonio, Texas, and Betty Stevenson of Skidmore, Texas.

Although Retta is no longer with us, her love and memory will live on through the many lives she touched. Her family will carry her with them in their hearts and treasure the memories of the wonderful woman she was.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass, Texas. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
