Rhonda Kay Rosenauer, age 70, from Sinton, Texas, went to her eternal home Thursday evening, July 2, 2026.

Rhonda was born in Dilley, Texas on December 22, 1955 to Johnnie Lee Rosenauer, Sr. and Verna Dell Walker Rosenauer. She was raised in Pearsall, Texas and graduated from Pearsall High School in 1972. Rhonda continued her education by attending Southwest Texas State University and UTSA obtaining a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Development.

Rhonda was a school teacher in Sinton for 30 years. After retirement she worked for Gonzales Office Supply and for Aunt Aggie De’s Pralines. She was a faithful active member of Sinton First Baptist Church. Over the years she worked with youth, in children’s ministry and served on many committees. Rhonda was always ministering and leading others to Christ. Her hobbies were reading, shopping and giving. She always gave to others even when she couldn’t afford to, and she also loved her cats.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her father Johnnie Lee Rosenauer, Sr.; her mother Verna Dell Walker Rosenauer.

Survivors include her brother Dr. Johnnie Lee Rosenauer, Jr. (Danell), niece Jessica Alene Rodriguez (Rene), nephew Corban Walker Rosenauer; great-niece Stevie Priscilla Rodriguez and Oakley Renee Rodriguez; and great nephew Maverick Lee Rodriguez; Aunt Lavern Roper from  Corpus Christi, Texas; special friends Brenda Curlee and Vicki King; and numerous cousins. Rhonda will be missed by us all.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 at the First Baptist Church in Sinton. Family will receive guests beginning at 9:00 AM. The Funeral Service will follow, 10:00 AM at the church.
