Ricardo Marin Bravo Obituary

Ricardo Marin Bravo passed away peacefully June 16, 2025. He was 77.
Richard Bravo was born on August 17, 1947, in Sinton, Texas, to Magdalena (Marin) and Jose
Bravo, Sr. A devoted husband, Richard married the love of his life, Andrea, and together they
shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. He attended Odem High School and graduated in 1969.
He worked as a dedicated truck driver for Tideport, earning the respect and admiration of his
colleagues through his hard work and commitment. He was a dedicated parishioner at Our Lady
of Guadalupe mission in Edroy for many years. He joined the Guadalupana Society in 1986 and
he participated in la caminada for Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration. He also would serve as
an usher and ring the bell to signal mass was beginning.
Richard loved to be a grandfather and was very active in all of their lives. He always attended
football games, band concerts, sporting events, and many more in support of his grandchildren.
He would love to cheer them on and take pictures to show how proud he was of them. He
never missed an event no matter how far the drive was, he was always there.
Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the
hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Jose and Magdalena Bravo; sister: Guadalupe Bravo
Perez (Lucio) ; brothers: Antonio Bravo, Sr. and Joe Bravo Jr.; in laws: Jose Garcia, Ramon Luis
Garcia, Elida Ponce, and Jesus Gonzalez Sr. (Dora Nino).
Left to cherish his memories include his loving wife: Andrea Garcia Bravo; son: Richard Bravo,
Jr. (Anna); daughter: Maria B. Serda (Calixtro III); 5 grandchildren: Ricardo Jose “RJ” Montoya,
Christina Martinez (Austin), Oscar Bravo, Natalie Rae Bravo and Emma Nicole Bravo: sisters-in-
laws: Rebecca Bravo, Diana Bravo, Carmen Garza (Fred), and Maria Garcia.
Visitation will begin Thursday, June 26, 2025, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral
Home Chapel, Sinton. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening at 7:00 PM at
the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 27, 2025, 10:00 AM at Our Lady
of Guadalupe Mission, Edroy. Burial will follow at Edroy Cemetery, Edroy.
Pallbearers will be RJ Montoya, Oscar Bravo, Tony Bravo Jr., Gabriel Perez, Isaiah Rocha, and
Alonzo Garza.
