Richard E. Green passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026. He was 77.

Richard was born on March 3, 1949 in North Middleton, Pennsylvania. Richard made Corpus Christi his home for more than 30 years.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, retiring after 25 years of dedicated and honorable service. A decorated Vietnam veteran, he was recognized for his courage and commitment with numerous military honors, including the Medal of Honor, the Purple Heart and the Sharpshooter Medal.

A true patriot, Richard loved his country deeply and took great pride in his service as a United States Marine. He often spoke of the sacrifices he made in defense of the nation he cherished.

Beyond his military service, Richard was a talented artist whose paintings reflected his creativity and passion. Though quiet and reserved, he possessed many interests and talents. He taught himself to play the violin, was an enthusiastic admirer of The Sound of Music, and had a lifelong appreciation for photography. Richard also owned and operated his own printing business, where he built lasting friendships with customers and colleagues alike.

Richard will be remembered for his patriotism, artistic spirit, quiet strength and unwavering dedication to those and the country he loved. His memory will be cherished by his family and friends.
