Robert Arlin Fairly

Sinton– Robert Arlin “Bob” Fairly passed away November 3, 2020. He was 84.

Bob was born on December 30, 1935 in Gillett, Texas to Robert and Avis Delane (Creswell) Fairly. He was a resident of Sinton, Texas since 1971 and former resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a retired Refinery employee. Bob was a member of the US Army Reserves, later to become the US National Guard. He worked as a Board Operator for the refinery. Robert was a Veteran of the US National Guard and the US Army Reserves. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death is his wife: Wanda Peeples Fairly; parents: Robert and Avis Fairly; sister: Flo Neumayer.

Survivors include his son: Robert Arlin Fairly, Jr. (Sherwin) of Sinton, Texas; daughters: Charlotte Tullis (William) of Bastrop, Texas; Danna Sherrer (Payton) of Odem, Texas; Laura Menn (Robert) of Bastrop, Texas; 11 grandchildren: Kyle Smith, Lyndsey Smith, Allison Bailey, Erin Harbaugh, Matthew Harbaugh, Jacob Tullis, Madison Sherrer, Makenzie Sherrer, Masyn Sherrer, Suzanne Marshall and Garth Fairly; 5 great-grandchildren: Charlotte Cook, Addison Marshall, Brandon Marshall, Chase Marshall and Hasley Fairly; brothers: Hugh Fairly (Darlene) of Frisco, Texas; Billy Fairly (Dava) and David Fairly, all of Lubbock, Texas; sister: Ruby Shupper (Tom) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 8, 2020, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 9, 2020, 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church in Odem with Pastor Willis Moore officiating. Masonic Rights will follow at the church. A Graveside Service will be Monday, November 9, 2020, 3:00 PM in Gillett Cemetery, Gillett.

Pallbearers will be Cody Lankford, William Tullis, Brad Peeples, Ron Squiers, Leroy Moody and David Vickers.
