Roberta Aguirre Torres

Sinton – Roberta Aguirre Torres passed away October 29, 2023. She was 74.

Roberta was born June 30, 1949 in Taft, Texas to Ernalda (Rodriguez) and Rodolfo Aguirre. She was employed as a caregiver. Roberta lived most of her life in Sinton. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Roberta is preceded in death by her parents: Rodolfo and Ernalda Aguirre; sister: Adelaida Aguirre; brother: Rodolfo Aguirre, Jr.

Survivors include her husband: Ofelio J. Torres: sons: Juan Gonzales (Norma) and Pedro T. Canales, Jr. (Erma) both from Portland, Texas, Daniel Rosenbaum, Jr from Ft. Worth, Texas, Alejandro Torres (Brenda) and J. Ofelio Torres Jr both from Sinton, Texas; daughters: Ida Garcia from Sinton, Texas, Judy Murillo (Jaime) from Mississippi, Ruby Canales McKinney (Daniel) from Kyle, Texas, Chris Rosenbaum (Larry) from Keller, Texas and Dana Harting (Brandon) from Oklahoma: beloved nieces she helped raise as daughters: Edna Garcia (Chris) and Hope Aguirre both from Sinton; 31 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; brother: Elias Aguirre (Janie) from Portland, Texas; sisters: Julia Aguirre from Kansas, Emelia Galan from Baytown, Texas, Venina Gonzales (Enrique) from Taft, Texas and Beatrice Morales (Lionel) from Aransas Pass, Texas; and many extended family members.

Visitation will begin Saturday, November 4, 2023, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Sunday, November 5, 2023, 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 5, 2023, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Monday, November 6, 2023, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sinton, Texas. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.

Pallbearers will be: Johnathan Gonzales, Brandon Canales, Jonas Ovalle, Aaron Hernandez, Bryan Canales, Jayden Torres, Alex Torres, Jr., Christevahn Garcia, Kameron Murillo and Nicholas Quiroz.

Honorary Pallbearers: Malcom Jamal McKinney, Kevin Murillo and Christopher Garcia.
