Roberto Lopez, Jr. Obituary
Fulton – Roberto Lopez, Jr. passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, at the age of 60.
Born on August 12, 1965, in Aransas Pass, Texas, to Mary (Longoria) and Roberto Lopez, Sr., Roberto lived a life centered on hard work, family, and unwavering love. In his younger years, he found joy working as a shrimper, embracing the life and traditions of the Texas coast. Later, he continued doing what he did best—serving others—as a chef at Mickey's Bar and Grill, where his dedication and work ethic were evident to everyone who knew him.
More than anything, Roberto was the heart of his family. He was the steady presence who brought everyone together, offering strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. His family often looked to him for guidance, knowing they could always count on him. While his passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, they find comfort in knowing his love, values, and memories will continue to live on through each of them.
Roberto was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Roberto and Mary Lopez; the mother of three of his children, Jillian Lopez; his sister, Anna Marburger Lopez; and his stepbrother, Ray Tijerina.
He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his stepmother, Lydia Tijerina Lopez; his sons, Roberto Lopez III of Houston, Texas, and Oliver Lopez of Nebraska; his daughters, Nina Lopez of Michigan, Jennifer Lopez (Jimmy) of Aransas Pass, Texas, Stacy Reyna (Jonathan) of Orange, Texas, Liliana Lopez of Fulton, Texas, and Lena Lopez (Thales) of Utah. He was a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren, with one more on the way, and one great-grandchild who brought him immense joy.
He is also survived by his brothers, Victor Lopez (Jatan) and Johnny Lopez, both of Aransas Pass, Texas, Jason Lopez (Sylvia) of Clute, Texas, and Guadalupe Lopez (Andrea) of Aransas Pass, Texas; his sisters, Velma Barajas (Jorge) of Rockport, Texas, and Linda Lopez of Aransas Pass, Texas; as well as his stepsiblings, Connie Tijerina, Sally Tijerina (Troy), and Rachel McMullan (Walter), along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
