Taft – Roberto Chavez Salazar passed away on June 4, 2024. He was 75.

Roberto was born June 21, 1949 in Taft, Texas to Sara (Chavez) and Estanislado Salazar. He was currently residing in Sinton and lived in Taft growing up. Roberto was a Veteran of the US Army having fought in Vietnam. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Estanislado and Sara Salazar; siblings: Angelica S. Gonzalez, Estanislado Salazar, Jr., Fidel Salazar and Rodolfo Salazar.

Survivors include the mother of his children: Olga Salazar; sons: Robert Salazar, Jr., from Greeley, Colorado, Ricardo Salazar from Sinton and Michael Anthony Salazar (Melissa) from Taft, Texas; daughter: Deborah Salazar from Austin, Texas; brothers: Enrique Salazar (Dolores) from Austin, Texas, Juan Salazar (+Karla) from California and Raul Salazar (Elizabeth) from San Antonio, Texas; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Burial will be held Friday, June 21, 2024, 10:00 AM, Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Texas.
