Robin Byron Brittain

May 7, 1957-May 5, 2025

Robin was born on May 7th 1957 in Sinton, Texas.  At an early age he loved wearing Cowboy boots and Hats.  Robin was destined to be a Cowboy!  He was a Bareback and Saddle Bronc rider in rodeos, he was especially proud of covering the Horse of the Year, Sputnik at a college rodeo.  Robin graduated from Southwest Texas Jr. College in Uvalde, Texas.  From there Robin attended Texas Tech University and received an opportunity to become a Landman for multiple oil companies.  Robin was a stickler for details and his work reflected that as he settled in to a successful lifelong career as a Landman.  He was very artistic and that is reflected in his self-designed custom made cowboy boots of which he had several pairs. 

Robin never met a stranger.  His kind, giving nature, and quick witted humor were his callings cards.  He had many friends and had the reputation of being a good friend to all.  Robin didn’t have a mean bone in his body, and was also known to be a prolific prankster.  His friends adored him and he will be greatly missed by all.  Robin is survived by; his loving mother: Margaret Ann (Sis) Brittain; his adoring sister: Gayle Brittian: brother: Wayne Brittain; Sister: Linda Petrus. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Francis and Cora Featherling; his uncle and Aunt Bill and Sybil Feathering, and Father Chester Byron Brittain.

Honorary attendees will be Randy Steward, Clayton Steward, Marion Boyd, Jim Bull, Keith Chapman, David Mosttiet, and Mike Featherling.

A celebration of life is being planned and arranged for an upcoming date and will be posted.
