Roland Gomez Candelario

Sinton – Roland Gomez Candelario passed away August 18, 2023. He was 59.

Roland was born July 21, 1964 in Sinton, Texas to Elisa (Gomez) and Pedro Candelario. Roland was a lifelong resident of Sinton. He graduated Sinton High School in 1982. Roland was a well-known presence at the Sinton HEB. He retired after 36 years of employment. Roland was currently employed by Walmart in Portland. His smile, his outlook on life and his ability to make friends were attributes Roland will long be remembered for. He was a loving uncle, nephew, cousin and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Pedro and Elisa Candelario; his brothers: Oscar Candelario, Peter Candelario and Ronnie Candelario; and sister: Stella Candelario.

Survivors include the nieces and nephew who were like his children: Ronnie Candelario Jr., from Corpus Christi, Texas; Devin Candelario, Alexandra Candelario and Mallory Candelario, all from Sinton, Texas; great-nephews: Ronnie III and Cameron; great-nieces: Nahla and Addison; sister-in-law: Dominga Trevino; and numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will begin Friday, August 25, 2023, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, 11:00 AM at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Sinton with burial following.
