Sinton – Ronald Lamar Morgan passed away August 17, 2025. He was 77.

Ron was born April 1,1948 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to Virgie (nee Wolfe) and Albert Morgan. He was a resident of Sinton, Texas since 1972. Ron was a Vietnam Veteran having served his country in the US Navy. He married the love of his life, Joyce Hesseltine and together they made their home and life in Sinton. Ron retired from Dupont where he was employed as a Planner/Scheduler. He was very active in the Sinton community. Ron coached Little League more than 13 years and mentored many young athletes. He was a proud Veteran and a dedicated Patriot Guard Rider. Ron was devoted to his family, his country and to God. He will lovingly be remembered by everyone who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Virgie Smeltz and Albert Morgan; brother: Russell (Rocky) Morgan; and sister: Gail Harner.

Survivors include his loving wife: Joyce Morgan from Sinton, Texas; a daughter: Rebecca Lynn Morgan from Corpus Christi, Texas; a granddaughter: Leah Simpson; a brother: Gary Smeltz (Margie) from Pennsylvania; sisters: Kathy Kelley from Kentucky; Brenda Grant (Bob) from Pennsylvania; numerous nephews, nieces and extended family members.

Visitation will begin Friday, August 22, 2025 at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The family will receive guests beginning at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, 2:00 PM at the funeral home followed by burial in Sinton Cemetery, Sinton.
