Ronald "Ronnie" Anthony Rodriguez

Taft – Ronald "Ronnie" Anthony Rodriguez passed away September 12, 2023. He was 64.

Ronnie was born on August 1, 1959 in Taft, Texas to Alicia (Gonzales) and Alonzo T. Rodriguez. Ronnie was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and always looked forward to spending game day with family. He worked alongside his father, Honorable Judge Alonzo T. Rodriguez, as a paralegal and legal assistant. 

Ronnie was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend who will missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his father: Judge Alonzo T. Rodriguez; and nephew: Tony Paul Sinast.

Survivors include his son: Ramie Alonzo Rodriguez from San Antonio, Texas; daughters: Veronica Rodriguez from Taft, Texas and Rendy Rodriguez from Sinton, Texas; 4 grandchildren: Raelynn Hernandez, Regina Hernandez, Aubree Sarabia, Sophia Rodriguez; 1 great-grandson: Roman Garcia; mother: Alicia G. Rodriguez; sisters: Elizabeth “Lisa” A. Sinast, Roseann Garcia (Jaime) and Jessica R. Pena (Vince) all from Portland, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.  

Visitation will begin Sunday, September 17, 2023, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 18, 2023, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft. Burial will be private.

Pallbearers will be Ramie Rodriguez, Vince Pena, Adrian Pena, Andrew Pena, Jaime Garcia and Jerry Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearer will be Joel Moreno.
