Rosalinda "Linda" Camarena Obituary

Rockport – Rosalinda Camarena passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, at the age of 76, surrounded by the love of her family and the many memories she created throughout her life.

Linda was born on August 22, 1949, in Rockport, Texas, to Amparo (Guzman) and Alberto Serrato. She was a strong, loving, and determined woman who dedicated her life to caring for others. She was the kind of person who always made things happen no matter how difficult life became. While raising five children, she worked hard to fulfill her dream of becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse, showing her children through example what perseverance and sacrifice truly looked like.

Linda had a stubborn spirit that her family lovingly knew well, but beneath it was a heart full of compassion and generosity. She was selfless in every way and never hesitated to help someone in need. Even on her days off, she would spend time at nursing homes helping feed residents and keeping them company simply because she cared.

Her family will forever remember her as an amazing cook whose meals brought everyone together around the table. She loved puzzles and crossword games and enjoyed the simple moments spent laughing, talking, and making memories with the people she loved most. No matter how busy life was, Linda always found a way to take her children on trips and vacations, making sure they experienced joy, adventure, and time together as a family.

More than anything, Linda was proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Her love for her family was endless, and the lessons she taught through her strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion will continue to live on through them.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Camarena; her daughter, Duana Guerrero; and her parents, Alberto Serrato and Amparo Guzman.

She is survived by her sons, Poncino Guerrero (Linda) of Rockport, Texas, and Jaime Gollaz of Sacramento, California; her daughters, MaryCleo Guerrero of Encino, California, and Irene Gollaz of Phoenix, Arizona; her grandchildren, Amy, Jonathan, Taryana, Kataleena, Jaime, Avery, Skye, Kaylee, Brianna, Jericho, and Elly; and her great-granddaughter, Maya.
