Rosendo Reyna, 77, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

Rosendo was born on September 9, 1948, in Rosebud, Texas, to Nicolas and Carmen (Contreras) Reyna. A lifelong resident of Sinton, Rosendo spent many years working as a dedicated carpenter. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and deep devotion to his family. Through his work and throughout the community, Rosendo formed many lasting friendships and touched the lives of many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicolas and Carmen Reyna; his wife, Simona Reyna; his son, Rosendo Reyna Jr.; his grandson, Josiah Reyna; his sisters, Anita Martinez , Grace Ymbert; and his brother, Robert Reyna.

Rosendo shared many loving years with his partner, Ofelia R. Rivas.

He leaves behind his children, Jenifer Reyna, Lisa Reyna, Randy (Daisy) Reyna, Eddie Serrano and Ray Lee Reyna; and his daughter-in-law, Rachel Reyna. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Viola Moreno, Cynthia Moreno, Esmeralda Moreno. Rosendo was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to carry his memory forward.
He is also survived by his brothers, Rudy Reyna, Ramiro Reyna, Nicolas Reyna Jr., and Eloy Reyna, all of Sinton, Texas; and his sisters, Josefina Carranza, Linda Ramirez (Ismael), Helen Soliz (Jimmy), and Beatrice Garcia (Edward), also of Sinton, Texas. Rosendo also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the dialysis staff, hospice staff, and home health providers for their compassionate care and support in caring for Rosendo during his final days.

Rosendo will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his hardworking spirit, and the love he shared with those around him.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton. The Holy Rosary will be recited that same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 18, 2026, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sinton. Burial will follow in Sinton Cemetery, Sinton.
