Ruben Sanchez

Taft – Ruben Sanchez passed away peacefully on October 23, 2018 with his family by his side. He was 65. Ruben was born July 11, 1953 in Taft, Texas to Julia (Rodriguez) and Angel Sanchez. Ruben was a lifelong resident of Taft. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. Ruben retired with more than 30 years of service to HEB where he was employed as Grocery Manager and later Stock Controller. Ruben was a loving father, grandfather, son and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding Ruben in death are his parents Angel and Julia Sanchez; and a brother: Manuel Sanchez.

Survivors include his daughters: Patricia A. Marcelino (Jesus) of Taft, Texas; Julie M. Sanchez and Gloria J. Sanchez, all of Corpus Christi, Texas; 9 grandchildren: Isabelle M. Gonzales, Claudia A. Gonzales, Jesus Marcelino, Jr., Ruben M. Marcelino, Alicia R. Sanchez, Yaneli L. Rodriguez, Jolynn F. Riojas, Elijah I. Jackson and Erin A. McGraw; brothers: Gilbert Sanchez and Guadalupe Sanchez (Eloisa), all of Corpus Christi, Texas; and sister: Angelita Sanchez Maldonado (Santos) of Taft, Texas.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 28, 2018, 4:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited Monday, October 29, 2018, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 30, 2018, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Taft with Father Pete Stanley as celebrant. Burial will follow in Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.
