Ruby K. Lawson

Sinton- Ruby K. Lawson, 92 of Sinton, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at home. Ruby was born May 20, 1928 in Brownfield, Texas to John O. Kinne and Ruby Elizabeth LaNier. She married S.A. Lawson of Robstown, Texas in 1946. They made their home in the Sinton area. She was a farmer’s wife and worked for several title companies. She retired, after working many years, from NorthShore Title Company in Sinton.

Ruby is survived by 3 children: Betty Wood, Johnny (Becky) Lawson and Sam A. (Darla) Lawson; 5 grandchildren: Karen (Larry) Pellett from Beeville, Alan (Stephanie) Wood from Victoria, Michael (Jennifer) Wood from Harlingen, Ramsey (Stella) Lawson from Taft, and Rhonda Shedd from Sinton; 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 siblings and her daughter, Penny (Ronnie) Shedd and son-in-law, Ira Wood.

Ruby was a faithful member of the Borden Street Church of Christ for 75 years.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, February 13, 2021, 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton.  The Funeral Service will be at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sinton Cemetery, Sinton.

Pallbearers are Ramsey Lawson, Justin House, Darby House, Matthew Wood, Lane Peterson and Brett Brewster.
