Santiago “Jimmie” Adame passed away peacefully August 12, 2026. He was 71.

Jimmie was born March 18, 1955 in Taft, Texas to Margarita (Montez) and Luis Adame. He was a lifelong resident of Taft.

Jimmie was a devoted Catholic whose faith was a strong and meaningful part of his life. He trusted in God and carried his faith with him in the way he lived, loved, and cared for others.

For more than 35 years, he dedicated himself to his career as a commercial appraiser. He took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication, knowledge, and commitment to serving others. His professional career was a reflection of the same values he carried throughout his life--honesty, responsibly, and integrity.

His commitment to his community extended well beyond his career. He proudly served for more than 25yrs on the Taft ISD Board of Trustees, dedicating countless years to helping support the students, families, and community he cared so deeply about. His service was a testament to his belief in giving back and making a difference.

He was a man with a heart for others. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Those who knew him often turned to him for advice, knowing they could count on his wisdom, honesty, and willingness to listen.

Family was especially important to him, and he treasured the time he spent with the people he loved.

He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his generous heart, his willingness to help others, and the love and guidance he gave to his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the faith he lived by, the lessons he shared, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Preceding in death are his parents, Luis and Margarita Adame; sisters, Juanita Fuentes and Beatrice Adame, and brother, Roy Adame.

Survivors include his daughters, Vanessa Adame from Taft, Texas and Ashley Adame (Roland Ramirez) from Corpus Christi, Texas; 2 grandsons, Christopher Sierra and Justin Sierra; and many extended family members and friends.

The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Friday, August 21, 2026, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Taft Texas. A Memorial Mass will follow, 10:30 AM at the church. Inurnment to follow the Funeral Mass, 11:30 AM in Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Portland.
