Sinton – Sara T. Longoria passed away February 25, 2023 at the age of 80.
Sara was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico on December 17, 1942 to Maximiliano and Angelina (Moreno) Tovar. She was a current resident of Sinton, Texas and formerly resided in Taft, Texas. Sara worked as a nurse’s aide for over 35 years. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Anacleto Longoria; son: Armando Longoria; parents: Maximiliano Tovar and Angelina Gonzales; sister: Lupe Amaya.
Sara is survived by her sons: Anacleto “Cleto” Longoria, III (Rita) and Andy Longoria (Delainey) from Sinton, Texas; daughters: Elma Riley (Clinton), Cynthia Longoria and Diana Longoria all from Sinton, Texas; grandchildren: Isiah Longoria (Destiney Garcia), Anthony “Tony” Longoria, Seth Longoria, Devin Longoria and Iris Hammonds; great-grandchild: Ivy Guzman; sisters: Janie Martinez from Taft, Texas, Isabel Nino (David) from Odem, Texas, Cruzita Gonzales, Angelina Gonzales and Mary Lou Hinojosa (Julian) all from Taft, Texas.
Visitation will begin Monday, March 6, 2023, 5:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 7, 2023, 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
