Sulema G. Garza

Odem – Sulema G. Garza passed away February 13, 2020. She was 76.

Sulema was born on August 24, 1943 in Sinton, Texas to Ramon and Frances (Hernandez) Garcia. She was a resident of Odem more than 65 years. She grew up in Sinton. Sulema was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister who will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding in death are her sons: Pedro Garza, Jr. and Michael Garza; parents: Ramon and Frances Garcia; brother: Manuel Guerrero; sisters: Maria Luisa Trujillo, Guadalupe Coronado and Aurora Garza.

Survivors include her sons: Rene Suarez and Fred Garza, both of Odem, Texas; daughters: Alma Suarez and Sylvia Garza, both of Odem, Texas; Irma G. Hernandez (Javier) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Mary Columbus (Donald) of Sinton, Texas; brother: Noe Garcia (Margarita) of Corsicana, Texas; sisters: Josefina Sistos of Crosbyton, Texas, Dominga Torres of Portland, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and former spouse: Pedro G. Garza, Sr. of Odem, Texas.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 16, 2020, 4:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Funeral Service will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The family will gather Monday, February 17, 2020, 10:00 AM at the funeral home for a final viewing. Burial will follow, 11:00 AM in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
