Teresa Hernandez Obituary

Manvel – On March 21, 2023 our beautiful mother, Teresa was called home by our most gracious and merciful God. She was 79. Teresa was a life long resident of Taft, Texas and more recently a resident of Manvel, Texas for the last five years.

Words do not exist to describe how precious and glorious our mother was. She was the epitome of love, compassion, and sacrifice. To know her was to know God's love. She possessed the faith of a mustard seed and for that reason in our eyes; she was able to move mountains. Our mother enjoyed drinking her coffee in the morning, while smoking her cigarette and taking care of her pups. She loved caring for plants and enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels that would visit while she sat outside. She loved getting her pedicures and couldn't watch enough true crime shows. Her Sunday calls were the best, with reminders to watch our surroundings and to lock our doors, but mostly because she would always tell us how much she loved us, always prayed for us, and how we should never lose faith. "Diosito es muy Grande" she would always say. Mom will be missed dearly, but her faith now remains in us and we know that she is rejoicing in Heaven, free of any suffering. And with that, we are at peace.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Rogelio Moya; son: Jesse Moya; parents: Amador & Elidia Castillo; former spouse: Jose Hernandez.

Teresa is survived by her sons: Alfredo C. Moya from Midway, Texas, Eduardo C. Moya (Eddie Tober) from Manvel, Texas, Ricardo C. Moya from Houston, Texas and Eliseo C.
