Theresa Ferguson passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, at the age of 62.

Born on December 2, 1963, Theresa lived a life defined by love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a devoted mother, proud grandmother, cherished sister, and loyal friend who found her greatest joy in the people she loved. Her family was the center of her world, and she never missed an opportunity to offer encouragement, comfort, or a helping hand. Theresa had a gentle spirit, a kind heart, and a quiet strength that carried her through life's challenges with grace. She had a way of making those around her feel seen, valued, and loved, and the memories she created with her family will be treasured forever.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Christine Wooten, Michael Wooten, and Joseph Wooten; her beloved grandchildren: Josiah Reed, Tyler Wooten, and Chelsea Govella, who brought endless pride and happiness to her life; and her siblings: LeahAnn Truitt, Sharol Stendebach, and Charles Ward Hopkins Jr. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Theresa was welcomed into eternal rest by those who preceded her in death: her father, Charles Ward Hopkins; her mother, Maggie Mae Whittaker; her brother, James Allen Hopkins; her nephews, Christopher and Johnathon Woodrome; and her great-nephew, Cooper Woodrome.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Grenn and the compassionate staff at Dr. Regional Hospital for the care and kindness shown to Theresa throughout her journey. They would also like to express their sincere appreciation to Christie Ramsey, Sabina Rodriguez, Elizabeth with Harbor Hospice, and the dedicated nurses of the inpatient hospice unit for their exceptional compassion, comfort, and support during Theresa's final days. Your kindness brought peace not only to Theresa but also to those who loved her most.

Though Theresa's presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely and the countless lives she touched will remain a lasting gift to all who knew her.
