Aransas Pass – Urban Chupe passed away on December 4, 2024. He was 92. Urban was born in Palacios, Texas on February 28, 1932 to Mary (Peres) and John Chupe, Sr. Urban Chupe was a Sergeant in the United States Army Airborne Division. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Urban is preceded in death by his grandson: Elijah Chupe; great grandson: Remington Kline; parents: John and Mary Chupe; brother: John Chupe, Jr. and sister: Caroline Pena.

Survivors include his loving wife: Janie Chupe from Aransas Pass, Texas; son: Urban John Chupe (Kathleen) from Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter: Anna Michelle Chupe from Rockport, Texas; grandchildren: Jonas Chupe, Sara Chupe and Darwin Kline; great grandchild: Brody Chupe; and brother: Demetrio Chupe, Sr. (Clara: from Port Lavaca, Texas.

Visitation will begin Monday, December 16, 2024, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same morning, 11:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by The Catholic Christian Rites Service, 12:00 PM. Burial will be held at Coastal Bend State Veteran Cemetery, Corpus Christi at 2:00 PM.
