Sinton - Vernon Louis Nedbalek was born on November 25, 1944, in Taft, Texas to William and Abilene Nedbalek.

Vernon was a proud graduate of Texas A&I University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Agriculture.

Vernon devoted his professional life to the agriculture industry, holding numerous positions throughout his career. His work often required long hours on the road, traveling countless miles, but no matter how busy he was, Vernon was always there for anyone, at any time. He lived his life with a servant’s heart and a constant willingness to help others whenever he could.

Vernon’s life was deeply rooted in his faith in the Lord. He trusted God throughout his life and lived by values of love, kindness, humility, and service. His faith guided how he treated others and was reflected in the way he loved his family, worked hard, and faced life with gratitude and grace.

Above all else, Vernon so loved his family. He was a devoted husband who loved and cherished his wife and the life they built together. He was an amazing dad, granddaddy, and great-granddaddy, and his family was truly the center of his world.

Vernon is preceded in death by his parents, William and Abilene Nedbalek, and by his stepson, Darrell Hardin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Irene Nedbalek; his brother, Bobby Nedbalek (Maryann); his children, Randy Nedbalek (Brenna), Mike Nedbalek and Donna Byerly (Kerry); his grandchildren, Kelly Byerly, Kaitlin Byerly, Jacob Byerly (Kori), Mary Conovan (Cash), Matthew Nedbalek (Celena), Wade Nedbalek, Robert Nedbalek, Mikayla Nedbalek, Julia Nedbalek, Anthony Nedbalek, Alex Nedbalek and Rhiannon Nedbalek; and his great-grandchildren, Madison, Jace, Jackson, Julian, Hope, Maverick, and Delilah. He is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Vernon was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling, and water skiing and he could most often be found on a tractor. He took great pride in his yard and had a special way with his oleanders and rose bushes. Vernon also loved to get cleaned up, look sharp and head out for a night on the town with his family. Rarely without a camera in hand, he was sure to capture every family gathering and special moment, leaving behind a lifetime of memories that his family will treasure forever.

Vernon will always be remembered for his warm smile, infectious laugh and the genuine joy he brought into the lives of everyone around him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, 10:30 AM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton, Texas.
A Graveside Service will be held the same afternoon, 1:00 PM at Seaside Memorial Park and Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Byerly, Matthew Nedbalek, Wade Nedbalek, Robert Nedbalek, Alex Nedbalek, Jason Nedbalek, John David Nedbalek and Brent Coleman.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Jim Kerlick and Ray Kerlick.
