Virginia “Ginger” Hadden Zorn, 83, passed away on March 11, 2025. She was born May 13, 1941, to Ted and Edna Mae Hadden in Aransas Pass, Texas.

Ginger was a lifelong resident of Aransas Pass and a lifetime member of First Christian Church. As a young girl she found her faith in God at First Chistian and was baptized at ten years old on June 24, 1951.  As a member of the church, her faith led her to serve at the Blessing Shop, Weekend Warriors, and other roles in the church. Her faith, family, and friends helped her through many trials and tribulations throughout her life.

Survivors include her son: Anthony Sheppard (Joann) from Katy, Texas; daughters: Catharine Carroll (Tim) from Fulshear, Texas and Charlotte Campbell (Steve) from Calallen, Texas; grandchildren: Patricia Bailey, Thomas Carroll, Austin Sheppard, Andrew Sheppard, Katie Campbell and Jarrett Campbell; great-grandchildren: Easton Bailey, J.W. Bailey, Kashton Carroll, Sawyer Carroll, Taima Rosello, Avery Sheppard and Benjamin Sheppard; brothers: Thomas Hadden (+Harolene) from Woodsboro, Texas and Raymond Hadden from San Antonio, Texas; and sister: Wanda West (+Vance) from Alvin, Texas.

She was a dedicated mother to her three children: Tony, Catharine, and Charlotte. She raised her children, worked full time, and always had a delicious homecooked meal every evening.  Everyone especially enjoyed her fried shrimp and homemade cakes! She attended all of her children’s activities and was their number one cheerleader. Ginger loved her kids, grandkids, and her great grandkids. She enjoyed watching her family grow up and loved visiting them anytime she could. Ginger was a dedicated employee of Bank of America for over thirty years serving the community as a personal banker.                                                                                        

Ginger and her late husband, Vince, enjoyed their thirty years of marriage together.   They spent many hours together gardening, playing cards with friends, serving the Lord in church, and serving the disabled community through the Weekend Warriors program.

Ginger fought against many illnesses in her later years but succumbed to Crest Scleroderma. She outlived her disease with her shear grit and dedication to live life as best she could. She will be missed by her family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, 12:30 PM at First Christian Church, Aransas Pass, Texas.
